About the Community
Meridian Community School District is a rural surburb in Rockford, IL, surrounded by farmland. The school district has four schools and covers approximately 125 square miles. They are considered the "Valley of Champions", having won many football state championships.
Challenges
- Ensure all students' needs are met with limited staffing
- Teachers need support to address student concerns as they arise
- Students have expressed anxiety and leadership wants to ensure any crisis is managed
- Maintain the level of check-ins that were being monitored during the pandemic
The Solution: TEAMTalk by TEAMology
- TEAMology supports teachers with check-ins on a regular basis
- The red flag alerts help to instantly manage situations
- TEAMology wasn't a tremendous lift for teachers and they appreciated the support
- TEAMology classroom lessons will be incorporated based on students' needs and will collect data in school year 2024/2025.
Data Watch
The district monitors patterns of behavior based on the data collected through TEAMology.
They decipher the data to make decisions for intervention and/or needed classroom lessons. The screenings have helped identify areas of concerns, as well as strengths.
When a child is in crisis, adults may not think it's a crisis. We can't tell them to "get over it" and we need to act. With TEAMtalk, we can ensure that a child's crisis, whether real or perceived, is heard and managed!"
